Kristine Aguilar (Lupa Ceramics)

Born in Manila, Philippines, Kristine Aguilar is the hands behind LUPA Ceramics. LUPA is a Tagalog word that means earth/land/soil/country.

Kristine received a Fine Arts Diploma from Langara college and a BFA from Concordia University. Since finishing school, she has participated in artist residency programs in Japan, Mexico and at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby, BC. Her work has been exhibited

across North America, including the former Gallery of BC Ceramics and the Charlie Cummings Gallery, and been published in The Journal of Australian Ceramics and Scout Magazine. Kristine is also a ceramics educator, teaching wheel throwing classes in her local community. Her studio is located in the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
